Hi! This is my blog. It’s a personal blog, and written by me.
Recently I’ve made the decision to monetize my blog. For the past year or so, I’ve really put a lot of time and energy into blogging. In fact, I spend enough time blogging that it really could be a (part-time) job, so it would be nice to be compensated for my time, however small that compensation may be.
Where is that money coming from?
Currently, I only get paid through affiliate links.
What are those? Maybe you’ve noticed that sometimes when I refer to a book or product, I link to a third-party site. Well, if you click on that link, and then buy something, I get a (teeny) percentage of that sale. Those are affiliate links.
However, I will not link to anything that I don’t own myself, or would own. These are products that I trust and genuinely recommend. If the link fits organically into my post, great, but I’m not going to be creating an entire post around an affiliate link or anything. If you don’t want to click on the links, by all means, don’t. If you do, thanks.
If I ever receive any freebies or goodies to review, sponsorships, or start to have paid advertising, I will disclose that as well.
To sum up, this isn’t going to change the nature of my blog, it’s just going to compensate me a little bit (emphasis on little) for my time. Thank you so much to everyone who reads and supports this blog. I’ve very much enjoyed interacting with you, and look forward to future interactions.
