So I added this poll back in November, and it just kind of quietly hung out on the sidebar, waiting to be noticed. Here are the results of that noticing:
Running things past mom (or dad, maybe) is a clear winner in this case. I think it’s kind of nice that there is still the cross-generation consulting going on, and that checking in with parental wisdom and experience still rates.
My mom and I talk nearly every day (she actually got worried a week ago because she hadn’t heard from me in a day-and-a-half. Really. ), and even though I’m raising my kids in a completely different context that she raised me and my brother, I still value her opinion, advice, and I’m thrilled that I can talk to her about my parenting joys and woes.
Check out the newest poll that I’ve added in the sidebar. Look for the “What’s Your Take:” box (hint: it’s at the top, Yeah, right there. Good job!). I’ll leave it up for a month or so, and then we can see what the results are. Interaction is fun.
Bummer!! Why did I hesitate to vote?? Too late, but I would have voted Rebbetzin. :)
Did you go and vote for the new poll?
Dang! I missed this one too. Mine would be my bookshelf RIDDLED with developmental books. That’s what a degree get’s you. ; )
Haha! My degree got me the ability to tell you when Beethoven was born (1770), among other extremely useful musical knowledge.
Nice! Polls are fun! :-)
