It’s so true, our kids are watching us all the time and they look up to us so we better make sure to be good role models for them!

I know what you mean about that surreal feeling. You are just a normal person one day; and the next, people treat you as if you are radiating the secret to immortality. It can make you cynical.
But our children! Ah — now THAT’S an audience worth working to impress! We are G-d-like; then we are, as you say, embarrassments… and then, if we played it right, they will again embarrass us slightly by calling us wise, and quoting us.
As the famous (in our house, anyway) Shawn Spencer says: “Wait for it… Waaaaaaaiiiittt for iiiiiiit…”
It’s still happening to some degree. My name precedes me. Hopefully this will work to my advantage with my kids…
Working with teenagers, I nevr feel like a rock star. :-)

Hey – I tried to comment at your other site, bit didn’t know how to do it and ID myself. Facebook is as high tech as I get! I love your perspective on life. It took me a few years to realize that part of the pressure I felt as a mommy was from the constant “rock star” attention I get from my kids. I really am the center of their universe, and sometimes when I walk into the house it can feel like I’m being attacked by the paparazzi! Not so easy for a type B personality who prefers being in the background than being the center of attention ;)
So, are you selling any CDs of this awesome concert?
Lol, you should be able to log in with your gmail account, but no worries! Even for a type-A mommy like myself, the attention can get overwhelming!
We didn’t record the concert in a CD-friendly way (we’ve learned from that mistake, though, since so many people have asked for a recording, B”H). There may be, perhaps, a CD in the works. You didn’t hear that from me, though (wink wink nudge nudge.)
