A Little Chanukah Miracle

A Freilichen Chanukah to everyone who’s celebrating! It’s been a delightful whirlwind over here. Today is the last day of Chanukah vacation, so we’re soaking it up. I’m still in my pajamas as I type this. It’s glorious!

Today over on Hevria, I wrote about my constantly evolving Chanukah experience, and how my expectations for how Chanukah was supposed to go did not exactly line up with the actual experience, for a while. A long while. You might be familiar with the phrase “Expectation is the root of all heartache” (that’s Shakespeare, according to the internet), and it is a painfully true aphorism.

But this year things worked out better than I could have expected, (haha totally unintentional use of that word ftr). Go check it out and read about it.

Also, a week or so ago, I had a piece up on Nurit Siegal’s site, Lipstick and Brisket, so check that out too.

Enjoy the rest of Chanukah!
