One of the challenges of having regular deadlines is, well, meeting them. Coming up with ideas that are satisfying, that I think people might (maybe? hopefully?) like or relate to.
Some weeks it’s so clear. Other weeks it’s really not. Some weeks the pieces come out right away. Other weeks I have to struggle to cobble together enough coherent paragraphs to call it a piece.
One of the best things about having regular deadlines is that it forces me to actually write. To move past all the excuses of “I don’t have time” “I can’t think of anything” “This isn’t any good.”
One of the things I appreciate about writing for Hevria is that it gives me the forum to doing whatever I feel like doing. This week I thought it would be fun to play around with haiku, so that’s what I did. I hope you enjoy!
