2019 Year End Review

Anyone else feel like the beginning of 2019 was about fifteen years ago? I had to think really, really, reaalllllly hard to imagine what I was doing back then, twelve months ago. One of the best things about blogging is that I have a built-in reflection system where I can just look at what I was posting about and then my memory is jogged! It’s very convenient. Maybe that’s the real reason I’m still blogging after all these years.

I think the first year I did a year-end review was 2012 (2012?!? Who can think back that far?). I didn’t do it again until 2015, and it’s interesting to see how much the way I approached this kind of review, and blogging in general, had changed. I skipped 2016, 2017, but 2018 brought me back to reviewing once more.

As I’ve had more success, thank G-d, with wiring for other (paying) outlets, I have spent less time here on the blog. And the posts that I have written have tended to be shorter, or just linking to a more fleshed out article (that I got paid for – notice a trend here?). But every now and then there’s a post that surprises me with how much time I actually put into it. And here is a smattering of those, for your enjoyment. Come walk through the year with me and see what surprises are in store.

  1. Hi Rivki!!

    Wow! It’s been forever!

I want to tell you how much I love receiving your emails and I get so much out of it….I feel like I have some connection with you – even though it has been forever!

The memories of the time we spent together I will forever treasure!

We are actually living in Baltimore now for over 2 years and bH had another boy, since then. BH 4 boys!

How are things with you? Would love to hear an update from you!

BH my organization *Chazkeinu* has been thriving and a great support for many, especially me.

We send out emails to our members and have over 600 subscribers now. They are almost like mini newsletters sent out throughout the week with all sorts of thing including inspiration, resources, articles, etc.

I wanted to know if I can forward your emails for others to enjoy as well?

    Sending my love!

    Wishing you all the best,

    Zahava

    1. Hi Zahava! It’s always so nice to hear from you! I heard you were in Baltimore – they’re lucky to have you! I will BeH send you an email update soon! It’s incredible what you’ve accomplished with Chazkeinu, such an inspiration. Yes, please feel free to share anything I have here on the blog or online! Sending love back to you!

  2. My year has gone past really fast, although not very much happened, mostly being unemployed and job hunting, although I managed a family trip to Israel for my cousin’s bar mitzvah. And I have started writing a novel!
