Hello! Welcome to my blog! What started as a way to stay in touch with family and friends has evolved into a space where I write about relationships, parenthood, music and religion, as seen through the lens of an Orthodox Jewish woman.
Over the years I have been fortunate to branch out to writing for other Jewish publications. You can find my writing on Aish.com, Jew In The City, Between Carpools, Kveller, Hevria, along with other Jewish websites and print publications from time to time. I generally link to those pieces from my blog whenever they’re up.
I also enjoy writing music and making videos. My YouTube channel is here if you want to check out what I’ve done.
So, about me, about me…this part is always tricky. Who likes self-description? I’m a happily married mother to five, living in Cleveland, OH. I am technically a stay-at-home-mother, but find that I am increasingly busy out-of-the-home with events around the Cleveland community and with performance and speaking engagements around the country.
I have a degree in music (clarinet performance), am an accompanist for local day schools, love to cook, love to be organized, love to be chill. I love people, but I love solitude. I am an observant (Orthodox) Jew, but didn’t grow up that way. I chose to convert post-college (you can read more about that here, here, and here). I love writing and performing music, I also love practicing the classics. I’m sure there’s more but I guess you’ll just have to read the blog to find out. ;)
I love getting feedback on pieces I write, and I love connecting to readers. Don’t be shy! Let’s connect!
